Short answer: A US-based distributor fits when the products you want are already in its US warehouse: they ship from the US and were imported before you buy them, but you choose from what it carries. Minimums differ by distributor: some set none for each product, and some set a dollar total for the whole order. Ordering from Korea through a K-beauty B2B platform such as SEOUL4PM fits when your products come from several Korean brands. They go into one order, and the only minimum you have to meet yourself is each product's minimum order quantity (MOQ), one box for most products. Standard sourcing typically takes 2 to 4 weeks from payment, and the products ship from Korea.
Say you want to add six Korean skincare products to your shop, from several brands. The order is small, but wholesale suppliers set their minimums in different places, or set none: a dollar total for the whole order, a minimum for each brand, or a box for each product. A US distributor and an order from Korea differ on five points: where the products ship from, mixing brands, the minimum, timing, and customs. SEOUL4PM's terms show how the Korea side works.
US-based distributor
Where it ships from: a US warehouse for the items it holds there. Other items may be fulfilled from overseas.
Mixing brands: a distributor may let you mix and match products across its catalog, within its order minimum.
Minimum: some distributors set no minimum for each product. Others set a dollar total for the whole order.
Range: the products the distributor carries, so check that the brands you want are in its selection. Some distributors also take requests for products they don't list.
Timing: check each product page. Items held in the US and items fulfilled from overseas can take different times to arrive.
Customs: items already in its US warehouse were imported before you buy them.
Ordering from Korea through SEOUL4PM
Where it ships from: Korea. All SEOUL4PM products ship from its warehouse in Korea.
Mixing brands: one order can hold products from several Korean brands.
Minimum: SEOUL4PM has no platform-wide minimum order amount. The minimum is each product's MOQ: most products are sold by the box, with one box as the minimum, and the number of units per box differs by product.
Brand minimums: some brands also set a minimum order amount (MOA), and SEOUL4PM combines orders from several buyers to reach it.
Timing: standard sourcing typically takes 2 to 4 weeks, counted from payment to the products' arrival at the warehouse in Korea. In-stock products can be delivered within 3 to 5 business days after payment.
Customs and duties: at checkout you choose DAP, EXW, or FOB (Shipping & Incoterms). SEOUL4PM doesn't handle import customs clearance, so check your country's import rules before you order. With DAP, SEOUL4PM books the carrier (FedEx, UPS, or DHL) and takes care of export, and duties and fees are yours to pay when the goods arrive.
Documents: a commercial invoice and packing list come with each shipment. SEOUL4PM also provides an MSDS for your order, and you can get a certificate of origin as well.
A US distributor fits when the products you want are already in its US warehouse and its terms suit your budget. Those items reach you without an import step on your side. Compare the totals too. If the distributor sets a whole-order minimum, one box each of six products can come to more or less than it, depending on units per box and prices, so price the boxes before you choose.
SEOUL4PM lets a shop order just six Korean skincare products wholesale, one box of each, because it has no platform-wide minimum order amount and most products have a one-box MOQ. If one of those brands sets its own MOA, SEOUL4PM pools your order with other buyers' orders to reach it, so that item may wait.
Most SEOUL4PM products are pre-order: SEOUL4PM orders them from the brand once your order comes in, instead of keeping them in stock. Each product card shows its own sourcing time, for example "14-28 days to source", so check the card for every product on your list. If a product on your list isn't on the site, you can send SEOUL4PM a sourcing request. Its sourcing team gets back to you within 2 to 3 business days, and a sourced product also has a one-box minimum.
On SEOUL4PM, one business account can buy Korean cleansers, toners, and serums from different brands in one order, and each product's MOQ, usually one box, is the only minimum you have to meet yourself. You check out once for all of them instead of opening a wholesale account with each brand.
Choose SEOUL4PM if your six products span several Korean brands, a box of each fits your shelf, and you are a registered business. SEOUL4PM sells to businesses only, and every account goes through business verification.
Look elsewhere if you need the products from a US warehouse or fewer units than one box of a product.

SEOUL4PM combines orders from several buyers to reach the brand's MOA, and the wait varies by brand. Each item in your order shows its own stage, such as "Pooling orders", under My orders. If the orders don't reach the MOA, SEOUL4PM cancels that item, and its deposit goes back to you as store credit. Store credit doesn't expire, and you can ask your SEOUL4PM manager to return it to your original payment method instead.
It varies by product. The product page lists the unit count for one box, so check it for every product on your list before you order.
At checkout you pay a 30% deposit on each pre-order item. The other 70%, along with shipping for that shipment, is invoiced once the items reach the warehouse and before the shipment leaves. An order made up only of in-stock items needs no deposit, and you pay for it in full when it ships.
The item shows as "Not secured" under My orders, and you choose whether SEOUL4PM sources it again or refunds it. A refunded item's deposit becomes store credit right away. If you don't choose within 2 weeks, SEOUL4PM cancels the item and credits its deposit automatically. To get the money back on your original payment method instead, ask your SEOUL4PM manager.
